CLAIRE KENNABY MCMA, O.A.Dip, MSc. MBACP
Founder & CEO
Integrative Counsellor
Clinical Counselling Supervisor for all ages
Well firstly and most importantly I am a mum to 2 boys and a large family of animals.
I am a counsellor using different approaches with persons centered theory at the core of my work.
Following professionally qualifying as an adult counsellor, I went on to gain additional training in working with children and young people too.
I then gained a second Diploma in child counselling. I have spent many years working therapeutically with children in primary schools, children's charity Place2Be, in various other agencies and within my own private practice.
During my time within Place2Be I assisted in facilitating group work involving up to 10 children supporting them about interactions, differences and emotions between each other.
I also offered support for children of Time2Talk sessions where they could drop in to share for a limited time either individually or in friendship groups about any worries, or issues raised.
I went on to complete a postgraduate qualification with Tavistock and Portman (NHS) in child, adolescent and family mental multi-disciplinary systemic therapy. I then became an Accredited Family Therapist and Registered with AFT.
I then went on to complete a Masters in Psychology at University with hope to widen my understanding of neuroscience, social science and human development to further enhance my work with others.
I decided to undertake clinical training in Autism diagnosis assessment using the gold standard ADI-R and ADOS-2 for children and adults. This was undertaken to increase my knowledge and understanding of the diagnosis process and have deeper understanding. This further enhanced my therapeutic work with greater awareness and understanding of neurodiversity.
I went on to become a fully trained clinical supervisor offering support to counsellors working with all age groups, including online and telephone supervision.
I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

Ying
Ying is a 8 year old Pug

Ying loves nothing more than to sleep, eat, and repeat. Ying like many pugs struggles with her breathing so makes some very funny noises but is much loved by many and really enjoys lying next to people and have a stroke whilst she snores away.

Myla
Myla is a new member to our team. Myla is still very young and now 24 weeks old. She is a miniature poodle x Border terrier so very active but intelligent and cuddly.

When she is not whizzing around shes waiting for her next instruction to get a treat she enjoys relaxing on the sofa getting tummy rubs from anyone.

Myla is currently undergoing her Therapy Dog Training and must admit so far shes done very well. Myla does/can join many in sessions but with awareness of her puppy characteristics including still occasional biting or chewing.

Lola-May
Lola (mee mo as her nickname has strangely become) is a netherland dwarf bunny.
Lola has traveled with Claire on many occasions all over the country and has made lots of friends along the way. Lola loves strokes and giving kisses back to you.

Her favorite thing is to sit on the back of the sofa with a treat and watch the world go by out the window or tilt her head listening to whats going on in the room. A tiny soft bunny with a huge character and a bundle of love.

Lola does make appearances but since she has been partner with her husbun Reggie she has traveled a little less. Reggie is still learning and building confidence, which Lola is helping him with.

The Sushi's
Our much loved fish are always present in the Fish Room at the POP Center.

They bring calm and interest to many and we have all found ourselves sitting and watching them. They loved to hide in Squidwards house and if another fish comes along they chase it away. It must be there club house.

They love exploring and never stop moving so really help to bring comfort, distraction, and positive energy in the room.
