Hello and a warm welcome to the Pinch Of Positivity Center. I hope you find all the information you need here, if not please do not hesitate to contact us.
Let's introduce you too...
Claire Kennaby and the team....
I will start by saying that I am lucky enough to have a group of diverse, fully qualified and highly experienced individuals where we all aim to offer support to anyone going through difficult times. We all work differently within a diverse set of skills so we can offer support to adults, children, young people and families in Gloucestershire, including primary and secondary schools, and we offer home visits too for those who may need this.

We can all feel overwhelmed and find life too much at times. I have been in a very dark place in my life myself and it can feel very isolating, scary, and extremely challenging. I found it difficult to share with others in my family or friends for fear of judgement, opinions or causing distress to others. I found counselling a huge support for me many times and felt it offered me an outlet for everything and learnt so much about myself in the process.

The therapeutic space is valuable and supportive within a safe therapeutic working relationship to allow others to feel able to share and explore what maybe troubling them.
This can be for many reasons;

Meeting people or starting this journey can be overwhelming and unsettling. To ensure you feel comfortable my approach to begin with is slightly different with offering a free initial assessment giving you the chance to meet one of us, see the space and ask any questions you may have. I always felt it was important to find the 'right' person to support you.
There is more information on the 'next step' page about what these involve.

Using different approaches to counselling we are able to be responsive to each individual adjusting the therapeutic approach accordingly.

We continue to have training and professional development to support our careful work and aim to be mindful, gentle and ethical in out approach to helping you.....

I have a little girl with Autism (6yr old) and Claire has helped so much in helping her deal with and understand her emotions. My daughter loved her straight away and always asked when we were going back :)
